Demilitarising South Sudan
My research looks at the process of demilitarising South Sudan. It in particular examines the demilitarisation strategy in South Sudan whilst exploring the theory of demilitarisation and the reality of implementing it in a highly militarised society.
The research seeks to consolidate the literature on demilitarisation, and its definition as a concept encompassing five different components whilst also looking at demilitarisation as a restructuring of civil military relations in post-conflict countries.
