Why study for an MA?
Students choose to take our MA programmes for a variety of reasons. Some wish to gain a qualification to pursue a relevant career; others want to pursue academic understanding of an area where they may have extensive work history or experience as a volunteer.
We have also found that some students wish to build on their first degree by specialising in an area they find fascinating, and that others want to obtain a qualification that consolidates their personal interest in a subject.
Whatever your reason for pursuing postgraduate study with us, you will benefit from an extensive range of facilities, including an internationally acclaimed university library comprising over 2.7 million items, first-rate computing resources and one of the most active students' unions in the country.
