I already knew about the University as one of my former teachers is an alumnus. He’s someone who really inspires me and knowing that he studied here has meant that I’ve always been really keen to come and study here too.

I used an agent in Nigeria to help me find out more information about the courses available and the application process and I also used materials like the prospectus and course brochures to help me get a better understanding of my course and what it would involve. I also contacted a representative from the University who was really helpful – I was impressed by him.

I found the application process very easy - I was able to get help when I needed it and any questions I had got answered. The international office has been wonderful; they’ve really helped me when I’ve had a problem.

It feels like a privilege to identify myself with the University and all it has to offer; the outstanding lecturers, the great facilities and the wonderful union. I’ve been really impressed with the union - whatever interests you have, you can always find a society that you can identify with. I’ve also found the Careers Centre to be a great resource with helping me look for a job once I graduate.

The University has really lived up to my expectations - I’m so pleased with my decision to study here. I’m really proud that I’m now able to say “I’m a student at the University of Leeds”.
