I chose to study at POLIS as I think it is one of the best School of Development Studies in the UK. It is also very cosmopolitan in nature.

I was attracted to the MA in Development Studies because of the interdisciplinary focus in understanding the processes, and nature of development. My desire is to contribute to making the world a better place to live, and raise the living standards of people. It is an exciting course and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a career path in Development Studies.

To anyone thinking of coming here to study I would say the facilities at Leeds are excellent and very conducive to learning, the library is adequately equipped and the people here are lovely and very encouraging.  I am really enjoying the teaching method in Leeds which involves lots of discussion in small seminar groups.

I am from Nigeria so in my spare time I like to discover the city centre of Leeds and other towns/cities in the UK. Once I graduate with my MA in Development Studies I would like to work in a development oriented international organisation such as the World Bank, AFDB, or IFC etc.
