Conducting PhD research in School of Politics and International Studies (POLIS) allowed me to explore the topic in the interdisciplinary way. This was certainly due to the generous resources provided by POLIS academic staff and the School in itself is one of the UK largest establishment in political studies. As my research focused on multiple forms of protectionisms, I have explored how political and historical factors, science and public scare influence trade.  With the superb guidance from both of my supervisors Dr. Charlie Dannreuther and Dr. David Hall-Matthews, I could develop the regrouping of trade protectionism and could develop the new concept of my own.
