Professor Leston-Bandeira part of the launch of Kirklees Democracy Commission

Professor Leston-Bandeira was invited to take part in the launch of the report of the Kirklees Democracy Commission on Friday 30 June.

The report makes recommendations to strengthen local democracy and has been highly praised for its bold and innovative recommendations. It is based on a review of very comprehensive evidence taken from a wide range of people, from citizens of Kirklees, to its Youth Council, to the third sector and academics.

Professor Leston-Bandeira was invited to provide advice to the Commission following her experience as a Commissioner in the Digital Democracy Commission of the Speaker of the House of Commons.
