‘Michael Gove’s speech tells us more about his own Game of Thrones than the EU referendum’

Dr Stuart McAnulla comments on Michael Gove’s rhetoric in his first speech for the Brexit campaign, which alluded to Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin.

Writing for independent news site The Conversation on 19 April Dr McAnulla, Associate Professor in Politics, discusses Michael Gove’s approach to his first major speech on the side of the leave campaign. He acknowledges the rhetoric and power play between Gove and Prime Minister David Cameron, who are on opposite sides of the referendum campaigns.
