POLIS academics present at fifth European Conference on African Studies

Dr Alex Beresford, Engle Cesnulyte, Professor Gordon Crawford and Dr Jörg Wiegratz all presented at this bi-annual conference in Lisbon, Portugal.

Organised by the Centro de Estudos Africanos - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa on behalf of AEGIS, the theme for this years conference was ‘African Dynamics in a Multipolar World’.

POLIS academics presented the following papers:

  • Dr Jörg Wiegratz ‘Moral economies of neoliberalism in Africa: the case of economic fraud
