Dr David Seawright wins award for best publication
Dr David Seawright, Senior Lecturer in British Politics has been awarded ‘best publication’ for his book 'The British Conservative Party and One Nation Politics'.
The award came from the PSA Specialist Group, Conservatives and Conservatism of which David is a member. This is the group’s second annual prize for best publication.
Conservatives and Conservatism is one of over forty specialist groups within the PSA network, all of which are dedicated to the promotion of quality research within the profession.
The group encourages creation and dissemination of high quality research on all aspects of conservatism, which it believes is one of the oldest and most philosophical positions in the world.
In addition to his study of One Nation Conservatism, David is also examining the Conservative party’s approach to devolution policy. He also has research interests in how the issue of European integration impacts on British political parties and public opinion.
David teaches at every academic level including undergraduate modules on British Politics, Spin Doctors and Electioneering and British Political Parties. He also teaches on the MA Politics and Parliamentary programme.
