Journal showcases POLIS undergraduate work
A new journal put together by the School of Politics and International Studies showcases the very best essays and papers from our 2009 graduating students.
At Leeds we pride ourselves on research-led teaching and our final year papers are an excellent example of this in practice as they showcase the breadth of research carried out in POLIS.
The articles (based upon student papers) were highlighted by our external examiners as such high quality as to be publishable. The journal also recognises excellent student achievement, hence the inclusion of Tom Johnson’s essay, which received an honourable mention certificate for the British Association of American Studies (BAAS) Ambassador's Award for an undergraduate essay.
Funding for this project was provided by Dr. Simon Lightfoot's University Teaching Fellowship. It will be followed later in the year by an issue showcasing the best of POLIS postgraduate work.
