Speaker: Simon Caney, Professor in Political Theory, University of Oxford

Professor Simon Caney is Professor of Political Theory at the University of Oxford. In 'Justice Without Borders' he examined some of the most pressing global issues of our time relating to human rights, distributive justice, global governance, just war and humanitarian intervention. At present he is writing about cosmopolitamism in economic, environmental, political and cultural justice and climate change.

In his talk 'Justice, Energy and Climate Change', Simon will be exploring ethical issues surrounding climate change: how we should treat future generations, how to assess the impact of climate change, who is responsible for preventing dangerous climate change, policies to prevent climate change, alternative energy sources and institutional structures to bring about equitable climate action.
