The Political Theory Research Group in POLIS has organised a series of seminars, covering a range of issues in contemporary political theory, which will run over the course of the academic year.

The programme for semester 2 is:

  • 6 February 2013 - Stefan Pedersen, University of Leeds - 'Planetary Political Theory'
  • 20 February 2013 - Derek Edyvane, University of Leeds - 'Liberty, Toleration and Fear: How to think about religious accommodation'
  • 6 March 2013 - Mark Wenman, University of Nottingham - 'Agonism, Secularism, and the politics of Conviction'
  • 24 April 2013 - Judith Suissa, Institute of Education - 'Tiger Mothers and Praise Junkies: Children, Praise and the  Reactive Attitudes'
  • 1 May 2013 - Enes Kulenovic, University of Zagreb - 'Human Rights After Babel'

  All are welcome to attend and there is no need to book in advance.
