24 April 2013 | 5.30pm - 9:00pm | Seminar

The future of the Korean peninsula - Talk by the Korea Society

Professor Christoph Bluth will be giving a talk on the question of North Korea as a nuclear security threat. Professor Christopher Dent will be enlightening us on Korean politics and economic policy. Whilst Robert Winstanley-Chesters (PhD) will discuss the environmental management of the peninsula by its respective states.

These talks will allow the audience to build an idea of the state of Korea as a whole and the problems it could be and is dealing with.

There is also time allotted for asking questions to the speakers so you can express your views on what they have portrayed and the conclusion they have come to to help you develop your own.

A traditional Korean Samulnori musical piece will be performed by members of Leeds’ very own Korean Society and refreshments will be provided.
