The LUCAS Annual Lecture

Speaker: Fay Chung.
Fay Chung was Minister of Education in Zimbabwe in the late 1980s to early 1990s. She has also had key roles in UNESCO and UNICEF. She received an MA from Leeds in Literature in the 60s, was a liberation activist in the field in the 1970s and recently contested the parliamentary election in Zimbabwe as an independent.

This is a great honor to have Fay talk in Leeds and to reflect on state and politics, society and transformation in contemporary Zimbabwe which is undergoing exciting times.

Location Details

The Rupert Beckett Lecture Theatre is located in the Michael Sadler Building, opposite the main entrance to the campus on Woodhouse Lane.
