Green Politics: Politics for Life with Dr Derek Wall

23 January 2008 | 4:00pm | Seminar

Roger Stevens Lecture Theatre 1

For the first time Leeds University will be hosting Green Party Male Principal Speaker (the party's current alternative to a traditional leader).

In advance of the meeting he said: 'Green politics is about tackling climate change and the environmental crisis that threatens us. However green politics is much wider than environmentalism, it is about peace, social justice and real grassroots democracy. The Green Party has policies on the NHS, economics and more. Green politics is politics for life.'

Dr. Derek Wall is an experienced Green political campaigner, published author and journalist, Male Principal Speaker of the Green Party of England and Wales, an ecosocialist and writes a regular green blog.
