Professor Nana Poku

John Ferguson, Professor of African Studies, Peace Studies, University of Bradford

Professor Poku is part of a global network of leading HIV/AIDS specialists working on the long term implications of HIV/AIDS for political systems in Africa. He has been advisor to the European Union, the World Bank, the OECD, the World Health Organisation, and the United Nations Development Programme, among other international agencies. Currently, he advises the Government of Ghana on PRSP and Health issues. He is also a Senior Advisor to the EU Mission in Chad, and an Advisor on DFID-funded five-year knowledge programmes.
