Mr Hugo Radice
Life Fellow

I am a political economist working on international issues, especially transnational corporations and development, on Marxist theory, and on East-Central Europe.
After teaching economics for many years, latterly at Leeds University Business School, I joined POLIS in 1999. I was Head of School from 2004 to 2007. I retired from my full-time post in August 2008.
Research Interests
My main research is on trends in global capitalist development, and especially the nature and role of the state. I am also working on the reconstruction of Marx's critique of political economy in the light of the collapse of Soviet-style communism, with a particular focus on labour.
PhD Supervision
As a result of my retirement, I am not available to supervise new doctoral students.
