Student opportunity: a trip to Shanghai!
Undergraduate student? How would you like to spend three exciting weeks in Shanghai this Easter?! Participating students will spend time learning the language and developing an understanding of Chinese culture, business and life in general.
Following the huge success of the Beijing Summer School 2007, the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills are funding another group of undergraduates registered in English universities to spend three weeks from 15th March to 6th April 2008 in Shanghai.
Successful candidates will be learning Chinese language, attending lectures on Chinese economy, business environment and social changes. You will visit Shanghai Museum - the best in the country - and Shanghai Urban Planning Hall, where you can discover the past, the present and the future of an exciting metropolis. You will see how multinational companies such as General Motors, Coca Cola operate alongside with state-owned conglomerate Bao Steel Plant in an evolving market.
Expect a once in a lifetime experience through this programme as attested by our participants in the Beijing Summer School 2007.
